I can ice-skate very well but I cannot seem to get the hang of rollerblading. Any tips?

I have been ice-skating for 4+ years.

You just need to keep practicing... Ice skates can slide sideways across the ice.. you have gotten used to that and need to adjust to the fact that rollerblades can only roll forward and back....
Reply:I can ice skate and I go roller skating (quad skates) every week. I've skated for at least 40 years now, but on my last birthday my daughter wanted me to try inline skates. I barely made it around the rink once. I think the difficulty for me is the rigidness of the boots. Inline boots are like ski boots without any side flex. My daughter told me that I would have to keep my knees tight and not to bend them until I got used to the feel of the boots. I just told her I was too old to relearn how to skate so I stick with quad skates.
Reply:keep practincing, that's it!
