The tounge of my ice skate always goes to the side...?

whenever i ice skate..the tounge of the skate always goes outward. nobody else's does that only mine, do i hav to tie it tighter??? its so uncomfortable.

I had the same problem...the solution isn't to tie your skates tighter. That can make you more uncomfortable, or cause blisters and cuts on your ankles.





Instead, you can have a hook put on your tongue to loop the laces around to hold it in the center. if this doesn't work (it didn't for me) then a loop of string can be put into your tongue so you can loop it around the hooks on the side of your skate the tongue moves away from, holding it in place.





Check out the harlick website for pictures, even if you don't have harlicks any boot can have this.
Reply:sounds like you may need to tie your skates a little tigher. make sure you pull the tongue all they way upbefore you tie them up
Reply:Yeah, I have exactly the same problem only it makes the side on my boot stick out as well. Try pulling the laces really tight at the bottom, and centering the tounge to start with.

Reply:I think you have the rong skate for your foot. if you own the skates go to a skateshop and have them refited. each brand make skates for diferent feet
