How do you ice-skate?

How do you ice-skate?

How do you ice-skate?
By getting some skates and going to your nearest ice skating rink. You might want to bring a friend along to help you or some one you know who is good at ice skating..........
Reply:If you have never skated before and your in a indoor rink stay along the boards. Gently push your self along, you may want to get some elbow and knee pads and perhaps a hockey helmet because you are going to fall several times. But stick with it, and before long you will be doing fine.
Reply:start by taking tiny marching steps forward on the ice. when you're comfortable with that, make them little glides. hold your hands out to the side and in front of you, at about the level of your waist, for balance.

hope this helps! and btw, you might consider wearing gloves your first time. skinny knit kind work well. good luck!

2)Find a way of standing in which it's easy to balance (without help)

3)Slide your feet forward diagonally. Make sure you're wearing skates=)

You might want to start off close to the wall and gradually get farther away. Also, getting someone to demonstrate can help.
Reply:i put the skates on, close my eyes and go into a jumping motion

this will propell you forward

literally jump

you won't be able to get air, you will just go forward

actually jumping on the ice is a completely different task
Reply:First things first get a good sharp pair of skates. Then get out on the ice and slowly move around. If you are at a rink use the boards to keep your balance. Then just work at it.
Reply:if you know how to rollorblade it will be as easy as pie! yum pie!
Reply:get on the ice and practice. you just cant tell a person how to skate

develop skin cancer
