What to wear to ice skating lessons?

I'm taking an ice skating course in a week and I'm not sure what to wear. I've never been to a rink let alone I've never skated before so I want to be sure that I'm comfortable but still warm. It doesn't have to be that fashionable, just functional and comfy. Any suggestions?

What to wear to ice skating lessons?
maybe a long sleeved t-shirt, jeans, like the other guy said thick socks so that your ankles don't get torn up, some cute gloves maybe because if you fall the first thing people do is put their hands on the ground so gloves would be good.
Reply:long, thick socks.

trust me.
