How Do You Ice Skate ?

Imm Trying To learn To Ice Skate But I Just Dont Know How

How Do You Ice Skate ?
B %26amp; B.........Balance %26amp; Bend (your knees). This is to start, then you have to learn to push off and to stop, usually what is known as a 'T' Stop.
Reply:just remember to not go too far on the toe or heel. lean most on the ball of the foot (the rounded part beneath the big toe) try to march on the ice and hold onto the wall. good luck!
Reply:its just like roller blading exept on ice
Reply:Don't be scared! Just glide on the ice, feel your outside and inside edges and find your balance in the middle and ball of your blade. After a while you can do 3turns, jumps, and spins..... Just remember not to be a chicken and find your balance. Be prepared to fall because every skater is going to fall at some time. If you don't, you are being too cautious and tenitive. Good Luck!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Reply:Hey. I've managed to find quite an informative website on 'how to ice skate' which also includes useful tips and warnings. Hope it is some use to you :]]! X
Reply:An indoor rink is preferable to a bumpy lake or pond. Lol, get ready to fall some - might want some extra padding. I went to college in Minn. and found out that some kids actually learn to skate before walking. 5 yr olds would skate circles around me :). To start off I just kept my left foot pointed straight and repeatedly pushed off with my right foot. It's a little awkward, but after a while you'll hopefully be pushing off of with both feet one at a time. Good luck.
Reply:Try using a chair or something to use while you skate.
Reply:Tango is right.
Reply:First you put on your skates.

Then Go on the ice rink.

Go on the side rails first.

Once you get the hange on it get of the side rails.

Start gliding.

Keep going!!! If you fall don't fall on your knee's !

Fall on your butt.Othervise you can break your knee!

In lessons they will teach you anyways.
Reply:get a coach
Reply:when learning to skate a beginner should take small marching like steps.
