Question about a ice skating blister?

My daughter went ice skating on Sunday. She forgot to wear high socks so the skate rubbed aganist her, making a large blister around 1 inch (give or take some) on her ankle. She has just been putting a damp cloth on it to wipe it off at night. Is their anything else? I was thinking if I could cut a little piece off an ace bandage and wrap it loosley so no dirt gets into it.

Has the blister popped? If so then it's open to infection. You need to keep some Neosporin on it until it heals. Wash it first with a solution of hydrogen peroxide and warm water and then apply a non-stick lint pad, there are small sizes available at your local pharmacy and stick it down with some medical tape on either side. Do this at least twice a day, apply Neosprin after it's been washed. It should heal in no time :)
