Do you know how to ice skate?

I knew how to ice skate right away when I stepped on the ice as a child, is that odd?

Do you know how to ice skate?
You have some raw talent, maybe you should go forth in that directions for your dreams.

Reply:I've seen many young children step on the ice and be naturals at ice skating. Your rollerblade background may have helped, but most of these prodigies have good balance and a strong body. That gives them control, which is really important. Wildly swinging arms and letting legs go every which way is a good way to fall, not to skate.





I was a good ice skater, but learning to figure skate was challenging for me. I was a teen when I started taking lessons.
Reply:no because i did too its not as hard as people make it out to be maybe because i rollerbladed i guess... do you rollerblade?
Reply:no its not odd. ive just started skating and there's a girl in my class who picks up on things instantly and just seems to be a natural born ice skater =)





do u know how to rollerblade? if so then that probably helps when ice skating.. i dunno.. =P
Reply:no i wish though. i cant even Rollerblade. i know sad huh? my friend wants to teach me though. i hope i can learn.

Reply:Some people just have natural ability to do certain things. It's neat when it can be recognized when you're young and if your talents (and interests) can be nurtured. You probably took to rollerblading right away too, I assuming?





I do see a lot of little ones who do quite well on the ice . . . not just ones who skate for fun once and a while, but those who actually take lessons and just look like teeny mini pros! In that sense, it's not "odd", but it is interesting to see how far they can go.





I used to rollerskate on my own as a kid and loved it. It wasn't til wayyyyyyy later that I first ice skated (and I did take to it right away) . . . and I stuck with it ever since!
Reply:yes, i could do it, a natural xD but i do some roller blading aswell. Now i just ice skate and are starting lessons soon!
