Ice skating?

i want to go for a beginners ice skating class....but i need to fill in a form, but in the form they ask me:

Grade of Coaching required

from 1to 8, but what one should i pick, for myself a beginner

Ice skating?
well what level are you at? what is the amount of stuff you can do?
Reply:It sounds like level 1 is the appropriate level.
Reply:you should put level one because if thats to easy for you than they will move you up thats what happened to me when i started 8 years ago
Reply:It depends. If you can do forward stroking a simple two foot spin then you may want to put yourself as a 2 but if you are an absolute beginner than you should put yourself as a 1. If they are talking about USFSA levels than put yourself as a 1 for sure. Your question is a bit unclear...i hope this is what you mean.
Reply:Choose level 1. If you are in the wrong group when you come to the 1st session the coaches will move you to the correct level. It is better to be moved up than down.
Reply:probraly 1-2
Reply:Just put beginner or 1. It sounds like USFSA Basic Skills, you need to start at the beginning.

I'm absolutely, positively sure that even if you wrote down the wrong thing they would know in about 3 seconds after seeing you on the ice, and would move you to the correct class. Don't sweat filling out a form.
Reply:You should most likely put 1 or 2. Im guessing 1 would be like never skated in there life and cant stand on two feet without being a wall hugger like a public session skater. But if thats not you then a 2 or 3. If it is you, I meant no harm by it
