Ice skating party menu?

I am having an ice skating birthday party for my son, what kinds of foods fit the theme? Hot cocoa of course.........but what else?

Ice skating party menu?
more like concession stand type stuff. last time when i went ice skating i remember them having pizza, popcorn, slushies, the big cookies, etc. so i think pizza for a main meal, some popcorn and some potato chips + veggies and sausage + cheese to snack on, then maybe 1 of those big cookies for dessert. hope this helped!! good luck!!!!
Reply:pizza, hot dogs, chips
Reply:You didn't mention how old your son is, but I suspect that he's either a young teen or nearly one! Here are some ideas:

Munchies: cups of nuts mixed with dried fruit and M%26amp;M's,

Main Fare: Chili with all the fixin's or beefy vegetable soup, sandwiches such as roastbeef and cheese, or turkey rollups. If you can grill, then make hamburgers and hot dogs.

Sides: cole slaw, french fries, chips and ranch dressing, carrots and celery.

Dessert: cupcakes, cookies, birthday cake, brownies

Drinks: lots of water, cocoa, juice boxes
Reply:Crock-pot chili and store-bought cinnamon rolls. Easy and yummy.
Reply:pizza, hot dogs, hot pretzels, popcorn, cake
Reply:If this is at the rink, usually the rink has a set menu (the typical pizza/hotdog type stuff). But if you're having it at home or where they allow your own food in, of course you can be as creative as you want!!

My friend has made ice skate cookies with a cutter like this one (scoll to the bottom) - if you have the time!

Or ice skate candies from candy molds

Here's how to make a skate cake (just don't do the wheel part for ice skates!)

Or how about snowball cupcakes . . . white icing on top with shredded coconut?

Hot apple cider may be good as another drink option too.

If you have any candy canes leftover from the holidays (or can still get your hands on some on sale), you can print out the skate boots on card stock and attach a candy cane to the bottom of it like the blade. For table seating cards, or something to add to the goodie bag, or just have around on the tables.

As a side note, maybe you can get everyone those cheapie knit gloves (you can get them at Target/Kmart/Walmart or sometimes those dollar stores) for part of the goodie bag. If everyone goes skating, those will be especially handy for those who did not bring gloves!

And maybe get a rubber stamp of an ice skate and use pigment ink (so it won't run) and stamp them on napkin corners. Or the goody bags or whatever you want to stamp on for your guests.

Have fun!
Reply:Most rinks have a meanu if you asre choosing tonhave food there. I think finger buffet would be good, there is a bit of everythink for everyone right? you cant go worng. Like pizza slices, sausage rolls...etc. How about making ice cream related deserts. Such as an ice cream sundee? or cie skate shappes cookies. Drinks wise...well if its served in the rink, drinks that taste good chilled, or hot drinks to warm everyone up. Make little pass the parssells and pin the tail on the donkey for fun. Hope he has a great birthday!
