Ice skating??

where do people train for ice skating if the nearest rink is like 2 long train rides away

Ice skating is pretty darn addicting and you find yourself going to great lengths to skate, or even buying skates that cost more than your first car.





I really feel for you living so far away from a rink. I do know people who come a long ways to skate at ours so it just depends on whether you love the sport enough to devote that kind of time and money to it.
Reply:im a competitive skater so i go to what ever ice rink i can find with enough practice time. and of course the one that my private coach is at. if its something you really want to do try it. look to see if there is one closer.
Reply:I use to stay with other skaters/coaches who lived nearby to train at top class training centers, which is about 2 hours away from me.

Depends on how much you want to Do it.


I have to travel 45 minutes yto get to my ice rink every week.
Reply:They need to travel =S most of figure skaters that dont have a rink near their house travel every week. If you really want to do it, well, GO FOR IT!=D
