Ice skating in NYC?

I am going to visit new york next weekend and want to go ice skating, im debating between central park and rockefellar center, any suggestions? Also, i checked the weather forecast and it says rain/snow on Saturday, do you think that is very accurate? If so, how much snow will there be?

Don't go to Rockefeller Center. Just.....don't. It's overrated, it's tiny, it's ridiculously expensive, it's more of a hassle than an enjoyable experience. And you wait forever for the "privilege" to be a part of it. Just....don't. They rope in enough unsuspecting tourists, don't follow the sheep.

Central Park's Wollman Rink is a very large, very nice rink, probably my favorite in the city. It's in a beautiful setting, it's much larger, and it's not the firetrap that Rockefeller Center's rink is. As far as my favorites, Bryant Park is a close second when it's open, but it's closed these days.

Can't speculate on a rain/snow forecast a week ahead of time, they often get it wrong the DAY beforehand. Just watch it as the week goes by and see what develops.
