Is Ice skating with your boyfriend girly?

I have been together with my boyfriend for a year and I want to go ice skating at the mall with him but he says its toooo girly and people would be looking at him strange. I think it would just be fun. I see boyfriends and girlfriends going ice skating all the time whats the big deal?

Your boyfriend has macho issues - plain %26amp; simple. He needs to get over it cause he is going to miss out on a lot of stuff in life because of his bad attitude.





Introduce him to hockey skates if he thinks figure skates are too girly. Then introduce him to an actual hockey player %26amp; tell him to call the hockey player girly %26amp; see what happens. Maybe that would change his mind, LOL.





Either way, ice skating is great exercise %26amp; a demanding sport, whether it be hockey or figure skating. I think it's a great couples activity. I think your best bet would be to find another couple to do it with - maybe the hockey player has a girlfriend %26amp; then you could all go on a double date. This way your boyfriend won't feel like he's the first guy on the planet to put on ice skates.





Don't give up. And don't sacrifice your activities %26amp; your fun cause he's immature.

Reply:i don't think so. At my school we get out early for finals, and last year we went ice skating on a local pond. My friend Mikey tried it for the first time and loved it, he went out and bought 40 dollar skates. I would crash into my boyfriend to stop, so it was fun for all of us. Although my boyfriend wasn't my boyfriend then. But he's looking forward to ice skating this year, so just tell him to try it once, and maybe he'll like it.

Reply:He could be embarrassed because maybe he can't skate all that well. Just ask him. Some guys get embarrassed and would rather say it's "girly" then to admit he isn't good at something. Best of luck and I hope he changes his mind.

Reply:Maybe he does not know how to skate and does not want to embarrass himself. I love ice skating i think couple skating is romantic. But like i said he maybe uncomfortable with skating
