Beginning ice skating?
My mom just bought me a bunch of stuff for Christmas since i started to take lessons and I wish to become more serious about it too.. here is what she bought/ is buying me...

***Skates but i assume she already have some

***Blade covers -- i have cute pink glitz ones

***Laces -- a back up pair incase something happens to the ones on your boots

***Practice outfit -- they can get pricey -- my mom is buyin me a used one since i dont care but if you want a new one they can range high..

***Cute jewelry/ hair things to wear when you skate...

***A Skate bag so your skates stay nice.. i found a pink one on Dunham's Sports website for around $20 (Nike Bauer one)

***Maybe Skating Nylons/Tights if you get a dress for her..

Or if you dont want to get a dress for her the skirts aren't quite as expensive also

***Any little skating thing like an ornament for her Christmas tree -- my mom got me some at Target they have adorable ice skate ones!

***Crash pads or Knee pads and stuff like that are also good ideas -- but they can be pretty pricey as well..

***Maybe a gift card to where she gets her blades sharpened if they sell gift cards there..

I hope this helped! =] Have a Merry Christmas!
Reply:well boots are very hard to lase up tight and they make these little things to help (im so sorry i forget what they're called) but if you go in a skating shop you'll find them...and all the oher suggestions already posted are great too :)
Reply:You have to get her blade guards so she doesn't wreck her blades. You can also get her bunga pads so her ankels don't get cut.
Reply:My friend has a pink shirt with rhinestones that spell out skate, and something like that would be cute

Or a necklace with an ice skate

skate guards (Some are really cute, like light ups or pink sparkly guards)

A hoodie, a hat, gloves for keeping warm

a duffle bag to store all her skating stuff

well those are my suggestions!!!!!

Reply:Well if she has her own skates.....

gaurds so she can walk around in them

soakers so they don't get rusty

a zuca bag--very cute for young skaters

boot covers--cute for young girls

a rule book--very nice if she is doing moves in the field

Other things:

they have jewlary with ice skates on them

skating dresses/skirts

gloves
Reply:well if she has skates she probably has blade covers or guards

but get her like trinkets or crafts that have to do with the sports

she wouldnt need a book since she doesnt know jumps or spins yet

a dress wouldnt work that well either cuz she isnt that into it yet maybe a year or so after it she could get a dress!
Reply:get her gloves or leg warmers
Reply:There are a list of things that you can get her

Clothes

-sweater that says luv to skate or something that has to do with skating.

-Dress or skirt. Dressed are pricey but you can get just a little practice one that is like 60 dollars but if that is to much you might want to get her a skirt which are like 30-50 dollars.

-tights if she already has a dress or skirt

-Gloves

-leg warmers are really cute to wear with pants that are sort of like leggings

Accessories

-skating jewelry

-hair accessories

-skating gaurds (they have light up ones that are cool)

-skating bags to put skates in and other things
Reply:if she's just starting, there's probably not much. you cpuld matybe get her skating trinkets and things, like a frame with skates around it or a craft that you can make things that have to do with ice skating. also, if you really want to spend the money, you can go to a dance or ice skating store and buy her a dress. they may be expensive though. hope that helps! =)
