I'm new to ice skating, so whenever people talk about different jumps and spins and tricks, I don't know what they are. Could anyone please give me the name of basic jumps, spins, and things a basic skater would need to know and then a brief sentence or two explaining what it is? It would help me so much!! Thanks!
Ice skating words....?

Reply:You can also go to the library or bookstore and lookup a book called "Figure Skating for Dummies" that will explain everything beginning skaters would want to know. It's very easy to read and explains in plain English. It also tells how the jump is done so that when you are ready you will know the technical side of jumps and spins.
